School of Athens - by Raphael

How can art be a mirror of society?

This painting was painted in the period of the renaissance by an artist named Raphael. This painting represents the passing of knowledge to people and the architectural design used. In this painting there is people who is making calculation, reading and writing. This painting represents art, people and knowledge. The architecture in the background such as using arches, art techniques, statues, and detailed design is used to make this painting look more realistic. Raphael used creative techniques to create an realistic artwork.

Where are you in the painting?

If I was in this painting I would like to be Raphael, Raphael is the one that has the black hat on the head on the right side of the painting. I choose to be him because you get to learn how to use creative art techniques such as perspective etc. I used to be good in art when I was young and I enjoyed it. I like to learn, gain new experience and also gain knowledge. As Raphael is in the painting he can learn and get many knowledge just by staying there and listening to people teaching other people. I also like to see people demonstrate mathematical calculation and to take note about it, I also like to be with people and discus just like Raphael is surrounded by the people around him. I would like to learn things and master them just like when Raphael painted this painting.
