Landscape at Céret (Paysage de Céret), Céret, summer 1911
I am the Dream
I am the Dream
Slipping through your sleepless night
Wrapping your mind in vivid bright illusions.
I am the dream,
Inspiring the action of heroes
Leaping into the dark and shadows of your mind
Fading with the morning light.
I am a paradise, priceless
Like a bright splashing waterfall.
Sleepers will seek my protection, and
I will release all of your troubles in the merciless night.
I chose this picture because it looks like a maze. In dreams sleepers can sometimes get trapped in this cubic maze. Picasso's painting here is done in his cubist period which is distorted realities, just like dreams.
Waw. It's a great start for an amateur poet :P
